Tima Bansal is a professor at the Ivey Business School. She is also the Director of the Cross-Enterprise Leadership Centre on Building Sustainable Value, and the Executive Director for the Network for Business Sustainability. Both the Centre and the Network aim to strengthen the ties between research and practice. In 2008, she was awarded the Aspen's Institute title of Faculty Pioneer for Academic Leadership and the Western University's title of Faculty Scholar.

Joep Brouwers has been active as an manager and a consultant in the field of technology and human behaviour since the mid-eighties. First as developer and project manager for new media applications for education, later on as director of a publishing house for magazines on the relation between the developed and the underdeveloped countries. Here he had his first internet experiences as one of the first database publishers in the Netherlands. In 1997 he entered the board of the Dutch branch of ISOC (Internet Society) where he took part in the uprise of the internet industries in the Netherlands and the burst of the internet bubble end 2000. From 2001 till 2007 he worked as a strategic policy advisor for the province of Noord- Brabant on innovation and economic development.

In March 2007 he entered Brainport Development as vice-director responsible for the projects and programs that execute the Brainport strategy to make Brainport Region Eindhoven one of the world’s top technology regions. At Brainport Development he was responsible for the participation of Eindhoven in ICF which led to the election of Eindhoven as most intelligent community in 2011. He initiated the Dutch Technology Week a yearly event for the High Tech manufacturing companies in the Netherlands. Joep Brouwers is also known as a TEDx organiser.

Timothy Devinney is the University Leadership Chair in International Business. Prior to that he was a University Professor of Strategy at the University of Technology-Sydney, Professorial Research Fellow at the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM), Director of the AGSM Centre for Corporate Change and the AGSM Executive MBA. Before joining the AGSM he held positions on the faculties of The University of Chicago, Vanderbilt University and UCLA and has been a visiting faculty member at numerous universities in Europe (Copenhagen Business School, Humboldt University-Berlin, Wirschaftsuniversität Wien, and the Universities of Hamburg, Trier, Konstanz, Ulm & Frankfurt) and Asia (Hong Kong University of Science and Technology & City University, Hong Kong) and taught at many others (e.g., CEIBS, Helsinki University of Technology & Helsinki School of Economics).

He has presented papers and addresses at more than 200 universities and conferences in the last ten years. In 2008 he was the first recipient in management of an Alexander von Humboldt Research Award (Forschungspreis) given by the German government and was Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Fellow. In 2008 he was elected a Fellow of the Academy of International Business and a Fellow of the Australia-New Zealand Academy of Management (ANZAM).

Timothy is heavily involved in the international networks of scholars. He served as Chair of the International Management Division of the Academy of Management. He is the co-editor of The Academy of Management Perspectives, co-editor of the Advances in International Management series (Emerald Publishers), and the Director of the International Business & Management Network of SSRN. He is a frequent commentator on public events and social issues in the press and various media.

James Dymond

As a member of the SAP Investor Relations team, James Dymond leads the company’s socially responsible investors (SRI) program. Further, he is co-lead for the SAP Integrated Report. Mr. Dymond oversaw the development and publication of SAP’s first two such reports, which combine and link financial and non-financial indicators to provide a holistic view of the company’s performance. Additionally, he drives the social media strategy for IR (@sapinvestor). Previously, as part of the employee communications team, Mr. Dymond was responsible for communications for several top-level executives. He also supported the communications of important announcements such as reorganizations and acquisitions. Prior to joining SAP in 2005, he held positions with other international corporations including Daimler and Berlitz Languages. Mr. Dymond holds an MBA in International Marketing from Pforzheim University. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in German language and economics from Clark University in Worcester, MA, USA. In his spare time, James enjoys travelling, photography, and dances hip hop.

Robert G. Eccles first joined the Harvard Business School in 1979 and received tenure in 1989. He left in 1993 to work in the private sector and rejoined the faculty in 2007. Right after receiving tenure, Professor Eccles started doing research on corporate reporting, a topic which remains of great interest to him from a research, managerial practice, and public policy perspective.

He has written three books on this subject, The ValueReporting Revolution: Moving Beyond the Earnings Game (with Robert H. Herz, E. Mary Keegan and David M. H. Phillips), Building Public Trust: The Future of Corporate Reporting (with Samuel A. DiPiazza Jr.), and One Report: Integrated Reporting for a Sustainable Strategy (with Michael P. Krzus), which is the first book on this subject.

He is a member of the International Integrated Reporting Council and the founding Chairman of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB). Dr. Eccles is the co-founder, with Professor George Serafeim of Harvard Business School, of the Innovating for Sustainability social movement, and a member of the Advisory Board of the Institute for Sustainable Value Creation.

John co-founded SustainAbility with Julia Hailes in 1987, served as Chairman from 1995-2005, and has been a Board member throughout. Previously, he worked with TEST (Transport & Environment Studies as a Senior Associate, 1974-78), co-founded Environmental Data Services (ENDS) Ltd in 1978 (where he was Founding Editor and later Managing Director), and John Elkington Associates in 1983. In 2008, he co-founded Volans, where he is Executive Chairman.

John is a world authority on corporate responsibility and sustainable development. In 2004, BusinessWeek described him as “a dean of the corporate responsibility movement for three decades.” In 2008, The Evening Standard named him among the ‘1000 Most Influential People’ in London, describing him as “a true green business guru,” and as “an evangelist for corporate social and environmental responsibility long before it was fashionable.”

In 2009, a CSR International survey of the Top 100 CSR leaders placed him fourth out of 100 people listed: after Al Gore, Barack Obama and the late Anita Roddick of the Body Shop, and alongside Muhammad Yunus of the Grameen Bank.

R. Edward Freeman is University Professor and Elis and Signe Olsson Professor of Business Administration; Senior Fellow of the Olsson Center for Applied Ethics; Academic Director of the Business Roundtable Institute for Corporate Ethics; and Co-Academic Director of the Institute for Business in Society. He is also Adjunct Professor of Stakeholder Management at the Copenhagen Business School, Adjunct Professor at Monash University (Melbourne), and Visiting Professor ICCSR at Nottingham University. Mr. Freeman taught previously at the University of Minnesota, and The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Freeman’s latest book, Bridging the Values Gap: How Authentic Organizations Bring Values to Life, was published by Berrett-Koehler Publishers in August, 2015 (co-authored with Ellen Auster). His previous book, Stakeholder Theory: The State of the Art, was published by Cambridge University Press in 2010 (co-authored with J. Harrison, A. Wicks, B.Parmar, and S. de Colle.) He is the author or editor of over twenty volumes and one hundred articles in the areas of stakeholder management, business strategy and business ethics. Freeman is perhaps best known for his award winning book: Strategic Management: A Stakeholder Approach, published in 1984.

Freeman has a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Washington University, and a B.A. in Mathematics and Philosophy from Duke University. He was recently awarded honorary doctorates in economics (DHC) from Comillas University in Madrid, in management science (DHC) from Radboud University in Nijmegen and from the Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki for his work on stakeholder theory and business ethics. Jvan Gaffuri is a senior sustainability manager in the Sustainability Services team within RobecoSAM. He joined RobecoSAM in 2006 as a senior equity analyst in RobecoSAM’s research team covering the technology and pollution control sectors.

From 2001 to 2006 he worked as a Portfolio Manager/Financial Analyst for Japanese and Asia/Pacific (deputy for USA) equities at Swiss Life managing several mutual funds. Before that, he worked a number of years in the Investment Research department of the Banca del Gottardo. Thereby he was in charge of the analysis of equity markets in Japan and in the Asia/Pacific region.

Katherine Garrett-Cox graduated with a BA (Hons) in History from Durham University and is a member of the UK Society of Investment Professionals; CFA Institute.

She is a Founder Member of the Advisory Council of TheCityUK. In her role she is responsible for both the investment policy and asset allocation of the company as well as executive oversight for the business. She has more than 21 years' experience in the investment industry, having managed North American, Emerging Market and Global Equities portfolios.

She was Chief Investment Officer and Executive Director of Morley Fund Management, the fund management division of Aviva where she was responsible for more than £160bn invested in equities, fixed income, private equity and alternatives. Prior to that, Katherine was Chief Investment Officer and Executive Director of Aberdeen Asset Management PLC. She began her career as a Portfolio Manager at Hill Samuel Asset Management, where she was Investment Director, Head of American Equities, managing a range of retail and institutional mandates in excess of $5.5bn.

Witold J. Henisz is the Deloitte & Touche Professor of Management in Honor of Russell E. Palmer, former Managing Director at The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania.

His research examines the impact of political hazards on international investment strategy including efforts by multinational corporations to engage in corporate diplomacy to win the hearts and minds of external stakeholders. His work has been published in top-ranked journals in international business, management, international studies and sociology and he is the author of the book “Corporate Diplomacy: Building Reputations and Relationships with External Stakeholders”.

Witold has won multiple teaching awards at the graduate and undergraduate levels and also teaches extensively on the topic of Corporate Diplomacy in open enrollment and custom executive education offerings and serves as the Academic Director for a new open enrollment program specifically on this topic.

He is currently a principal in the political risk management consultancy PRIMA LLC whose clients include multinational corporations, intergovernmental organizations and the United States government.

She conducts senior level executive search across general management, HR, and IT. Susanne Marell

Susanne Marell oversees the operations of Edelman in the German and Swiss market, which includes more than 200 employees and offices in Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin, Hamburg and Zurich. She joined Edelman as new CEO Edelman Germany in 2012 and is also a member of the EMEA Executive Committee. Prior to this role, Susanne served as VP of Corporate Brand Management at BASF.

Susanne boasts an extensive career of more than 20 years in communications and marketing within the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, and also as a consultant in the PR industry. The certified economist and trained systemic coach studied at the University of Wuppertal. She started her career at Kohtes & Klewes (now Ketchum PLEON). Previously she worked at Schering, Hoechst, AgrEvo and Cognis where she oversaw the internal and external communications globally, before being promoted to her position at BASF after the acquisition of Cognis GmbH in 2010.

Susanne’s experience comprises corporate communications for, amongst others, M&A’s, corporate branding and organizational change processes. She is also an acknowledged management expert for employee engagement and sustainability projects, and served as a member of the task force “Sustainability Positioning BASF” within the 2025 strategy process.

As CEO at Edelman Germany, Susanne provides C-suite consultancy and coaching to corporate players and product brands on an international level. She focusses on supporting clients to achieve brand management excellence by identification of the brand core, definition of the USP in a shared economy, brand positioning and the design of the communications strategy.

He joined Volkswagen in 1992 as manager for environment and worked for the Volkswagen Group as a managing director for regional development agencies, which dealt with technology transfer, especially in the fields of new transportation systems and environmental technologies.

Gerhard Prätorius graduated in Economics, Political Science, and German Literature.

Prätorius is a honorary professor at the Technical University Braunschweig. He published numerous articles in the field of sustainability and mobility.

Roland Schatz is the founder and CEO of Media Tenor International. He is a leading scholar in the field of media impact research, as well as German-American relations.

In his role as the CEO of Media Tenor, the Research Institute of InnoVatio Verlags AG, Mr. Schatz has an important role in the global media. With over 180 employees and offices worldwide in Berlin, London, New York, Ostrava, Pretoria, St. Petersburg, Windhoek, and Zürich, Media Tenor is the world’s leading provider of ongoing international media content analysis, including in-depth analysis of new and traditional global media content.

In 2007, Mr. Schatz had the honor of opening the first Arab Media Institute at Emory University. He has also held teaching positions since 1990 by teaching strategic communication management at universities in Augsburg, Atlanta, Berlin, Bonn, Lugano, and Prague.

Aside from his background in teaching, Mr. Schatz has served as Secretary of the International Media Monitor Association based in Washington, D.C. He is also a trustee for the Education Africa Foundation in Johannesburg, the Innovation Institute in Pretoria, and the Board of E-Standards in New York.

Mr. Schatz has a master’s degree in philosophy, economics, history, and political science from the University of Fribourg and Bonn.

Ingo Speich joined the equity portfolio management of Union Investment in August 2004. As a senior portfolio manager he is responsible for sustainable investments, corporate governance and active engagement.

Ingo is a member of numerous working groups and councils regarding sustainability and corporate governance. In addition, he is a frequent speaker at annual shareholder meetings and conferences in Germany and abroad.

After an apprenticeship at Dresdner Bank Ingo studied business administration at Boston University/USA, University of Durham/UK, European Business School/Germany the University of Trier/Germany. Innovation Forum is an events, analysis and publishing business founded in 2014. IF works on areas of sustainable and responsible business where innovation is paramount. Areas of focus for 2014/15 are deforestation, business and human rights, sustainable cotton and sustainable business leadership in the Middle East.

Prior to founding Innovation Forum, Toby set up, developed and built Ethical Corporation from 2001-2014. He's a lecturer on Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability at Birkbeck, University of London for the last six years. Since 2001 Toby has worked with many of the world’s largest companies as an advisor, trainer and critical friend, providing advice, strategic help and critical commentary to companies such as Alliance Boots, BP, Sainsbury’s, Nestle, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Interface, Schlumberger, Yara, Unilever, Exxon Mobil, Intersport, Metro Group, APP and many many others. He’s also worked with campaign groups such as Greenpeace and Oxfam.

He’s overseen the research, agendas, speakers and running of more than 100 business conferences since 1999 and authored research for the World Bank as well as overseeing numerous research reports, 9000 articles and writing 1500 blog posts on sustainable and ethical business since 2001.
